Winter & spring were characterized by mild temperatures with total absence of rainfalls. Temperatures were higher than the previous year, therefore the flowering and veraison period occurred earlier. Summer was warm with no rainfalls at all and the resulting quality of grapes was amazing. Given the course of summer and the dry season, we anticipated harvest at the middle of August for Pecorino and at the beginning of September for our red grapes. Unfortunately, the absence of rainfalls and the draught dropped the production of 30%.
